Get One Million Pageviews: 6 Strategies & Hacks

Last month, I hit one million page views in a single month on one of my sites. And I’m sure you’d like the same results with your site. So in this post, I will share the top growth strategies that helped me get one million page views per month in 2023.

Like always, I don’t just talk about anything I have not done myself. Over the last few years, I have experimented with various strategies and tactics to increase my page views and drive more traffic to my site.

Traffic to your site may bring in a lot of ad revenue, affiliate commissions, and even direct sales, depending on your site’s focus.

I have identified these critical strategies through careful research and analysis that helped me reach this milestone. Let’s get the balls rolling.

Strategy 1: Encourage People to Share Your Content (Viral Share Growth)

Viral sharing is one of the most powerful traffic growth strategies. It involves creating content that is so valuable and share-worthy that people can’t help but share it with their friends and followers.

And when done right, it can help you grow your traffic exponentially. A piece of content that goes viral gets shared tons of times by many people in a short time. That’s how your content goes viral!

But how can you do it?

The first step is to create genuinely share-worthy content to get one million pageviews per month. This means creating something original, compelling, and interesting enough that people will want to share it with their friends.

You need to understand your audience and what type of content they would find valuable and share-worthy.

Another critical thing to keep in mind is that your content must be easily shared. This means adding social sharing buttons to your blog posts and making it easy for people to share your content on their favorite social media platform.

Last but not least, you need to actively promote your content and encourage people to share it. You can do this by emailing your list or trying something new like ‘Points System.’

It’s a tried-and-true method that works like a charm. Just look at some of the biggest brands in the world. They all run competitions and giveaways to create buzz and grow their traffic.

And it’s not just big brands – even small businesses and bloggers can use this strategy to get one million pageviews per month or more. I have personally used this tactic to grow my blog’s traffic with gleam.io

Communities are a great way to grow your traffic because they provide a never-ending content stream. And if you can get people to contribute to your community, it will grow even further. You can also create your own forums:

Strategy 5: Repurpose and Syndicate Content

Long-form content has helped generate more traffic than shorter pieces of content in the internet world. One study showed that long-form content generates 77% more traffic than shorter pieces!

So if you want to get more traffic, start publishing longer pieces of content. I’m talking about blog posts that are 1500 to 2,000 words at least.

But is the length of your content significant? Technically no!

It is the depth of your content that matters the most. But it’s seen that more depth results in more length as well. So it showcases that length of your content is essential as far as you are on the topic. Don’t make it lengthy unnaturally.

So start publishing long-form content consistently, and you will be able to get one million pageviews per month in no time!
